A smart person knows what to say. A wise person knows whether or not to say it. – Anonymous

A smart person is someone who knows what to say under any given situation. Experience which he has acquired from life offers him the edge over others to anticipate any situation and act accordingly. It is important to learn from our own lives and skillfully correct the mistakes which we have committed in the past.

The famous physicist and thinker Albert Einstein once said that a person who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new. These simple words actually mean a lot if introspected carefully. We should have our own wit with ourselves and utilize it to manipulate situations as per our own choice.

Sometimes this becomes necessary when we are surrounded by many problems, and solutions seem to just fade away. Reading books and engaging in fruitful conversations with brilliant minds will help us to grow personally and socially.

We should also devote ourselves the much needed time to introspect our own decisions and think upon them logically. In order to be a wise person, at first, you need to be smart enough.

Smartness does not only come by dressing well on maintaining a sophisticated outer appearance, but it also comes from the mind and eventually purifies the whole body and soul. It is always radiating outwards and helping people to recover from their problems by developing a positive pinch towards life.

Meditation and proper sleep, coupled with a healthy diet and yoga, can prove beneficial in keeping ourselves calm and composed during the tough times. Remember that people should always focus on living their own lives and not live for others.

The decisions and choices of our life should solely be guided by our own thinking patterns and intelligence. We should not waste our lives by simply following other’s commands and opinions.

Right or wrong, life will, at the end, always help us to be our very best. A wise person will always listen more and speak less and therefore, actually knows when to speak, where to speak, and whether to speak or not. Silence is actually a powerful weapon than words.
