Apologies don’t mean anything if you keep doing what you’re sorry for. – Anonymous

“Sorry” is just a little word that people do not mind saying even if they have committed the biggest of the mistakes. However, once you keep on repeating the same mistake again and again, it does not remain a mistake anymore; instead, it becomes a sin.

It is usually said that apologies and forgiveness can save any relationship, but at the same time, you need to understand if it is actually worth it. Apologies do not actually mean anything if you are repeating the same mistake again and again.

The person who apologizes should actually be able to understand the reason for which he is doing so! It should not be a part of the formality anyway.

It is a positive sign to be able to ask for an apology if you think that you have committed something that is wrong, but at the same time, it is your duty to promise yourself about the fact that you won’t be doing the same ever again. If you are sorry, you should be feeling it right from your heart.

When do you seek an apology? It’s only when your actions or words have hurt someone badly, isn’t it? Therefore, you should be aware of it, and make sure that the same thing isn’t repeated. Apologies will not actually make any sense if you are doing it all over again.

At the same time, you should respect and give value to the one who is forgiving you every time. It takes a lot of faith and patience to forgive someone for something, and when the other person is doing it, you should at least value it. Repeating the mistake is a clear indication of disrespect to that person as well.

Therefore, you should know the reasons for which you are asking an apology, and once it is clear before you, make sure that you control and remind yourself about it the next time you face the same situation.

You should hold that thought in your mind, and just remember those happy faces that will probably get hurt just because of your words and actions. If you become a little more sincere, you will not have to encounter a situation wherein you would have to seek an apology all over again.
