Happiness is not having what you want. It is appreciating what you have. - Anonymous

There are a lot of people out there who have already got all that they have ever craved of, and are yet not happy. Happiness doesn’t come with gaining all the things that you have ever wanted in your life. You can own a Mercedes and a big house in the heart of the town, but still not happy from your heart.

This happens because you haven’t gained that feeling of contentment within you. A lot of people out there are rich and famous but there is still something within them, that have snatched away their night’s sleep and make them feel miserable at times.

You may have everything that you have ever dreamt of, but is that enough to make you happy? Happiness is a very personal feeling, and no one can ever help you in attending that feeling.

I see a lot of people who have got every luxury met, but they aren’t even able to smile and laugh their hearts out. This is because they have never realized the true essence of happiness.

On the contrary, you will see a poor beggar who gets the bare minimum from our surrounding, and doesn’t even able to satisfy his hunger with a full-time meal seem to be laughing his heart out, and filled with happiness the day he is actually able to afford a meal.

Thus, happiness comes from within and it isn’t only proportional to the material belongings of an individual. You will see a lot of people around you having everything and are yet not satisfied.

On the other hand, you would see people who have got only the bare minimum and are extremely proud and happy from all that life has ever gifted to them. They seem to be thankful for everything that they have received or earned through their lives and that’s what depicts their appreciation and contentment.

It is important to understand that life won’t keep you empty-handed. You may not have the best of the things, but the moment you are grateful about whatever you have with you, that’s when happiness will strike you in the real sense.
