Children feel loved when we substitute presents for presence. - Steven Aitchison

It is essential to realize that we often feel as if children want gifts from us, and that’s when we tend to make the biggest mistakes of our lives.

It is important to understand that materialistic pleasures can never suffice someone’s needs and desires.

You need to understand that it is only when you stop satisfying your kids with gifts or presents, and rather focus upon being available to them, that’s when they feel “the most loved.”

Kids always appreciate our presence more than any other gifts.

In today’s times, the parents have become so busy in their own hectic schedules that they just try to count gifts and expensive presents to give out to their children just as a form of substitute to the fact that they aren’t always available to them.

Therefore, it is high time when we as the parents need to realize that instead of trying to make our kids happy with costly gifts, we should rather try to be available with our children just because that’s when they feel the most loved.

Also, that’s how you can nurture your bindings in the true sense of the words.
