If you spend your life trying to be good at everything, you will never be great at anything. – Tom Rath

It is rightly said that a multitasker is always in demand, but again, it depends on the work role and the context of the saying. Yeah, I had to mention this here, since a lot of people often think that you need to be good at anything and everything at the same time.

However, all these aren’t true! If you are spending your entire life trying to be good at everything, it won’t be possible for you to master one single art. This is because your brain will be busy in doing so many tasks all together at a time.

Similarly, in life, you need to learn that you cannot be perfect at all the things at once. That’s simply not possible. Life isn’t easy and if you want to adapt a skill, you will have to be really proficient in that!

The moment you engage yourself in doing so many tasks all together, you get into a hustle-bustle such that things become even more difficult for you. Therefore, you should never try to be that monkey who tends to hover upon all the branches in the locality.

If ever you want to expertise in a particular field, make sure that you calm your mind and sit down to decide your goals, and then act accordingly. Pick up a goal, and start working towards it.

Remain consistent in your efforts and you are sure to draw a good harvest out of it. Your efforts may not yield you fruits at the very first go, but it eventually will!

When you try to be good at everything, your consistency and focus are interrupted and that’s where the negligency makes its roots. Therefore, you should always focus on a single path and keep working till you reach your destination, instead of trying out everything and end up doing nothing.
