The man who moves a mountain begins by carrying away small stones. - Confucius

To achieve something substantial, we must begin by taking small steps towards it. Many of us make a mistake of thinking that if we take a few giant leaps, we will reach our goal faster. The key thing to remember here is that there are no shortcuts to success.

You have to go through each step before reaching where you want to be. We need to be patient and meticulous in our approach. All the steps that we take to reach our goal will not be a successful one. Some steps will throw us a few steps back. What is important is not to get disheartened.

Whenever we fail, we must stop and think about what we had done wrong. It is when we realize our mistake that we actually get ahead in our oath because it gives us more insight into our journey.

The small steps help us get important lessons that help us understand ourselves better and also help in shaping our character. We get confidence from our successes and the spirit to fight back when we fail. Thus, the journey becomes very enriching.

If a few huge leaps took us to our goals, then our life would not be full of so many fascinating experiences. The mountain will move only when we have done all the small steps, and when it does move, we will come out as better individuals who can inspire others to reach their goals.

If we keep looking for shortcuts, then we will lose precious time. Rather we should focus on the journey ahead of us, accept it, and do our best to make this journey as meaningful as we can.
