For every minute you are angry you lose sixty seconds of happiness. – Ralph Waldo Emerson

For every minute you are angry you lose sixty seconds of happiness. - Ralph Waldo Emerson

The primary intention of this quote is to tell us about being happy all the time. It is important to try to remain happy and put aside our anger. Anger is self-destructive in nature. It has never done any good to mankind except for bringing sorrow and misery into our lives.

Remember that every dusk reminds of a new dawn. In the same way, even if there was some trouble or complication in your life, all you need is to hold on your patience, and bad times are soon to get over.

No matter even if someone is responsible for your bad time, holding on anger or having an attitude to take revenge simply means that you are having a grudge upon that person. Hence, you should be wise enough to handle the situation in your own way instead of holding on to a feeling of resentment.

Anger cannot yield you anything, and one who understands it will never waste a minute of his life clinging onto it. A moment spent with anger could be spent joyously too! It is we who decide whether to spend the valuable moments of our life with a smile on our faces, happiness in our hearts, laughing aloud, or grabbing the anger.

Each of the moments that once passed by will never come back. Thus, all those moments that we remain angry, we lose sixty seconds, which could be otherwise spent with positivity, joy, and happiness.
