Know your worth. You must find the courage to leave the table if respect is no longer being served. - Tene Edwards

It is important to make sure that you are aware of your own worth. Many a time, we ignore our own selves and we expect others to respect us. However, in this world full of selfish people, it is simply not always possible.

It is essential to understand that one needs to find the courage and leave the table when respect is no longer being served to you. You must be aware of the amount of respect that others should treat you with, and when you see that’s lacking somewhere; you must have enough guts to leave the table then and there.

You should know that you must have some value, and if someone doesn’t give you that, there’s no point staying there uselessly. Of course, you cannot ask others to respect you, but when your self-esteem is hurt by any chance, you shouldn’t be staying there either.

Do not think that someone will get hurt by your actions. Too often, we keep on thinking about others who do not even bother to think about us. Remember the fact that had they cared for you enough, they would have not treated you that way.

If someone is disrespecting you, and you are being able to realize that the person isn’t respecting you enough, do have all the guts to walk away. Why should you even bother to keep seated there?

Keep a track of the fact that life happens, and you will probably come across different situations but that’s something not to be bothered about, let them be! Take the lesson from those people, but do not stick to the same place.

You should know your own worth when others don’t give you enough respect. Do not allow others to treat you that way. It is only you who can save yourself. Make the other people understand that you are not going to tolerate that anyway.

Simply choose to walk away from the table. Also, there would be certain situations wherein we just allow other people to treat us badly since we want to save relationships. But, remember that, if it is only you who is trying to make the attempt, you cannot lower your self-esteem all the time.

Moreover, when it is about a relationship, both parties have to get indulged in it. The scenario shouldn’t be the way that it’s you who is doing all of it. When the other person is humiliating you all the way, just let it go, and walk away!
