If you try to please everyone, you will please no one. It is impossible to lead your life for others’ happiness. – Sudha Murty
Meaning of this Quote
It is certainly undeniable that all of us prefer to be loved and appreciated by others, but at times, it is important to realize that we are not born to please everyone all the time. There would be instances when you need to speak up for yourself despite you knowing that your words will annoy a lot of people.
Although the origin of humanity is still the same, all of us lead different lives, and thus, our thoughts, beliefs, and relationships vary from each other. All of us have unique perceptions towards things around us and thus, our point of view for doing things differently.
We tend to consider our ways to be right and prefer not to follow others, which, in turn, leads us to situations where it gets really difficult for us to please others. People will disapprove of our thoughts and decisions just because they don’t match with theirs!
However, you need to remember that you aren’t born to please everyone everywhere. Stick to your own belief instead of worrying even if others get disappointed by that. Pleasing someone all the time is not just worth it.
Why should you be living according to the standards that they have set for you? Do whatever makes you happy, and if you are pleased doing all that you like, you need not think about others. As long as you feel that whatever you are doing is right, it is all that actually matters!
